Pura 90S Pro Max: A Bold Comeback Powered by a 200MP Telephoto Camera
An industry-first zoom sensor, a striking gradient design, and full 5G — Huawei's most ambitious global flagship yet.
Huawei has officially unveiled its new flagship, the Pura 90S Pro Max, at a global launch event in Kuala Lumpur. The device is the international counterpart to the China-only Pura 90 Pro Max, arriving in two variants: the standard "Pro" with a 6.6-inch display, and the larger "Pro Max" with a 6.9-inch screen, plus differences in charging speed and camera hardware.
🎨 Luxury Meets Durability
An aluminum frame pairs with flat glass panels front and back, with sharply curved corners extending into the display itself. The gradient back panel is the true showstopper — flowing seamlessly onto the metal edges.
📸 The Camera That Steals the Show
A massive 200MP telephoto sensor at 1/1.28" — among the largest ever used in a zoom camera — powered by Huawei's proprietary RYYB color filter (yellow instead of green subpixels), a first for any telephoto sensor worldwide.
First-ever RYYB color filter array used in a telephoto sensor.
⚡ Performance and Battery
Powered by the new Kirin 9030, with claimed gains over last year's Pura 80: faster app launches, quicker page loads, and steadier frame rates in games. The NPU also brings sharper image processing and telephoto video stabilization.
